POPPY POMFRET FRY..

Bengali Cuisine: Poppy Pomfret Fry..


Ingredients: 

  1. Fried pomfret Fish: 2 pieces (300 gm)
  2. Mustered oil: 3 tablespoon
  3. Poppy seed paste: 4 tablespoon
  4. Chopped onion: 5 tablespoon
  5. Shredded coconut: 3 tablespoon
  6. Turmeric powder: 1/2 teaspoon.
  7. Black cumin seed: 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Chopped green chili: 2 teaspoon
  9. Chopped fresh coriander leaves: 2 teaspoon
  10. Water: 1/2 cup

Processing:


  • At first marinate the fish with turmeric and salt for an hour.
  • Heated mustered  oil in a frying pan and fry the fishes both side until cooked through and keep them aside.
  • To the same frying pan add black cumin seed , chopped onion and chopped green chili and saute them for few minutes till you get an aroma.
  • Then add poppy seed paste, shredded coconut and turmeric powder and stir it well .
  • Add water as per gravy requirement and add salt and sugar as per taste, cook it for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add the fried fishes and cook for another 3-4 minutes
  • Turn off the flame, then add few drops of mustered oil and keep it cover for 10 minutes.
  • Garnish with Chopped fresh coriander leaves and serve with steamed rice.

Nutritional Fact:

Pomfret fish is a rich source of essential fatty acids, high omega 3 fatty acid which protect from the heart disease and lower the amount of cholesterol in blood. Omega 3 fatty acid is good for eye sight and can protect age related muscular degeneration. Sea fish like Pomfret has also rich in Iodine, Selenium, Zinc and potassium. Iodine is important for thyroid gland, Selenium makes enzymes which can protect from cancer. Vitamins like B 12 , A, D also available in Pomfret fish. That help to reduce night blindness , good for bone health and provide immunity. Eating a fish can improves blood circulation and reduce a risk for thrombosis. Pomfret fish also contains DHA which is good for brain health. And pomfret fish is also a huge source of essential amino acid which has a great impact on muscular development and tissue repairment .

BakED LoVe Cottage Cheese Celebrating Happy World baking day with    Baked LOvE Cottage Cheese (Chenna)  Ingredients : Skimmed Milk: 1 ltr Lime juice: 2 table spoon Sugar: 100 gm Semolina: 20 gm                                                Ghee (Purified butter/Butter oil): 15 gm Cardamom powder: 5 gm Condensed Milk: 2 tablespoon  Preparation: At first need to  boil milk in a saucepan on a oven for 15 minutes.
